PETA and \"tree huggers\". Misplaced animal and environmental concerns. It is more about publicity than facts.

Dogs are dogs and they have health problems like every other living thing. I have had three Golden Retrievers and am on my fourth. Two of them had health problems and died at about 4 or 5.

I love my dog and my Dawgs. Go UGA. You're a damn good dawg.

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

Some of you need to read more about what an all white dog actually means, yeah its tradition and all but all white dogs have numerous health issues, ranging from blindness, deafness, to painful internal issues.

Im not an animal nut but an all white dog is almost a recipe for a miserable life.

ugaa, you need to read more about what this thread is supposed to be about. It's about the idiots at PETA not wanting any dog to be purebred and wanting UGA to use a robot dog instead of a live bulldog. I've read the letter PETA sent to Damon Evans, and it mentions that bulldogs should not be bred due to their health problems, and that the UGA line is predestined to heart problems because the last two died of heart problems, (even though UGA VI lived longer than the average bulldog). It doesn't mention all white dogs, that is not the issue the original post is trying to make. PETA just wants publicity. Like another poster mentioned, instead of trying to end all dog breeding, PETA should be spending time finding and punishing dog fighters, not dog breeders.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

sadlerdawg makes me want to scratch my balding head and and ask this question . . . . \"Could I please have mashed potatoes with my manatee steak\". It is amazing to me that these \"Acorn\" type groups can cause such problems with free thinking and intelligent folks.

Think maybe most of the folks on this forum eat \"chicken\". My guess is that 99% comes close. Here is my point . . . if I have a \"true friend\" for a day, week, month, year or 4 or 5 years, those memories are forever. I say take the robots/balloons and stick them up the Peta areas that the sun does not shine.

8:12 tonight, we get some idea of where we are as a team. TEAM, both sides of the ball.

peta never fails to shock me. Idiots. they take what is a great thing (protecting animals) and turn it into a farce. In my neck of the woods they shut down an abbey's (yes, a place where kindly monks live) source of income - selling eggs - b/c they said it was cruel to the chickens. the monks followed the exact same approved methods that egg producers use, and peta agreed that they did, but said that all egg producing was cruelty to animals. they just realized it would be easier to shut down the monks than a big corporate farm. do a search for \"mepkin abbey\" - it's a few miles from Charleston - beautiful place - they are now trying to hang on by growing oyster mushrooms.
