Its definatley not just as easy as just doing it. These guys are young, and I'm certianly not trying to argue with you wlayton, dont take it like that.

But UGAs offense isnt a complicated offense right now, I think any freshman could come in and get the basic concept pretty fast. UGA had a top 5 rated class and these kids are BIG TIME athletes, whether its transfered to the field yet or not. I just think throwing some hiccups in the offense every series or maybe longer just so that teams cant comfortable and your not so predictable. i know its not going to happen, but it would be interesting to see some of the players given the oppurtunity to make some plays.

JC is gonna throw picks any way, conservative or not..

Not true, gatorstrong. I'm no big JC supporter, but in the last 2 games, he hasn't thrown any picks, and attempted 13 and 17 passes. The other 8 games, he threw at least 20 times, averaging around 30 a game, and had at least one pick a game. I'm all for opening up the offense....

......next year, when the O is more adequately equipped.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Plus these kids are trying to get use to the \"speed\" of the college game. Whole new ballgame.

But I do get where you are going GATORstrong and do agree, just also agree with sadlerdawg's last sentence.

Interesting reading here . . . Think maybe Coach Richt knows that he has a bird in the hand with the young QB(s) . . . .

I think CMR knew that he had to get a true feeling about his stable of running backs. Lord knows we have tried a lot of different young men since Spring. Barring injuries, this group of running backs will be a solid group next year. I have been hoping that we would sign Marcus Lattimore out of South Carolina, this might complicate matters.

Impressive when you list the names and eligibility in the post wlayton.

sadlerdawg, on the mark as usual. The offensive line comes around big time for Coach Searels, could make some trouble on the offensive side for some time to come.

Buc......here you go. He had eliminated UGA earlier in the year but is now considering UGA for his 5th and final visit. Probably going to SCar though.

Scouting Report on Marcus Lattimore
How we scouted: Film footage, In-person visits, Game setting, Campby Barry Every - 08/13/2009
• SpeedDivision I Player
• SizeBlue Chip
• StrengthBlue Chip
• AgilityBlue Chip
• ElusivenessBlue Chip
On the Hoof: Big, muscular back with very powerful legs and wide shoulders. His frame will easily hold 225 pounds, yet he will be able keep his quickness and speed.
Needs Improvement: Lattimore needs to improve his ball security at the point right after quarterback exchange. He also needs to work on getting up to full speed quicker, which should help him break more tackles.
Most Impressive: Once he breaks into the secondary, most defensive backs either cower down or they just don't seem to be able to catch him. This past season, he also showed tremendous durability carrying the ball over 60 times in the semi-finals and finals.
Conclusion: Should have a similar impact to Knowshon Moreno and Carnell Williams in two years. Will be able to wear defenses down, and help run time off the clock in the fourth quarter.

I had read that wlayton, impressive.

Here is a tidbit . . . don't know if you got to see the high school game between Lattimore's team and St. Thomas Aquinas out of Lauderdale. STA, top high school team in the nation proved why against Byrnes High. He had a good game, but turned it loose a couple of times. Reminds me of Waushan Ealey, that is not a joke. WE and CK, keep their heads screwed on, trouble down the road for our opponents.

p.s. would still love to have Lattimore in the Red and Black. Last visit could mean a lot.
