I agree, DFIT, that he doesn't need to throw his coaches under the bus, or make a mid-season change, but I have heard many coaches (some pretty good ones, mind you) over the years state they may need to tighten up their defense, or pass better, or have better special teams play, whatever that team's problem may be. They don't embarrass their players or coaches, just let it be known that a certain aspect of the team is having trouble and the head coach knows it and intends to correct it. Richt's refusal to ever say that the defense needs work just leads me to believe he has no intention of correcting the problem.
