What's next?

I agree, DFIT, that he doesn't need to throw his coaches under the bus, or make a mid-season change, but I have heard many coaches (some pretty good ones, mind you) over the years state they may need to tighten up their defense, or pass better, or have better special teams play, whatever that team's problem may be. They don't embarrass their players or coaches, just let it be known that a certain aspect of the team is having trouble and the head coach knows it and intends to correct it. Richt's refusal to ever say that the defense needs work just leads me to believe he has no intention of correcting the problem.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Is there anything we as fans can do to try and force CMR's hand in getting rid of this clown he calls a defensive cordnator?

I mean seriously, someone needs to take the blinders off of him before we are calling for his head!!!

If CMR begins to criticize his coaches at this point, then we are in real trouble. And he knows it. This is a terrible football team, we all can see that. CMR talks about turnovers and penalties being the biggest cause.

IMO he is being politically correct and trying to keep the team together. Both coaches and players. I hope he makes changes when the season ends. That is when this needs to be done. Not in the middle of the season.

Bobo has been put in the position of having to overcome a terrible defense and his play calling is suffering because of it. Martinez is the one coach on this team that has demonstrated the efficacy of the \"Peter Principle.\"

Nah, it's time for Richt to move on. He has made a habit of accepting mediocrity. It is his job to eliminate mediocrity. He has failed. One more time I hear his excuses for players committing stupid penalties and I think I'll scream.

Duck, I'm glad someone else said something about the lack of tackleing, the Deion Sanders style oh that was Fl. State wasn't it. I like CMR, but I didn't think he was the right man for the job but he has done a good job till now, but has never had that fire in his belly. We need an overhaul of the coaching staff at every position, line ,special teams, defense, and offense. My lowest point in that game yesterday was when we didn't have enough pride to stop Tebow from breaking Herschel's record, although it did take him 4 years, he will never be in Herschels league. I think we will beat TT but I don't think we have the pride to win anything else. I'll be there for my dawgs but I don't have to like it. The only way something happens is for the money guys that pay for this program to get pissed like they did with Goff and Donnan thats what happened to Fulmer at TN.We will let this punk Lane Kippin come into our back yard and rob us of our talent if we don't do something about the coaching problem. Fix it CMR or go away! Go Dawgs I love ya.

Can you all believe we are even saying \"I think we will beat TT\"???? What has this program come to?

sadlerdawg.......agree with everything you've said.

What's next?.........As late as it is in the season and as unreasonable as this sounds, I would consider VERY strongly to take A. Murray's redshirt off. He is definitely our future so let's get him some game experience. This season is shot and I agree with Buc, we should have taken Moreno's redshirt off becasue we only had him 2 years and the same could happen with Murray if he's as good as everyone says.

we won't find the answer by starting a freshman. It's the coaching and the local recruiting. Not every kid is a top ten prospect. We need to do a better job of building depth by doing a better job at local recruiting. But, you know, that's actually part of coaching too. So scratch that. We just need better coaching.
