I guess anything's possible, but..........I'll believe it when I see it.

IMO benching Cox would be writing off the rest of the season. Cox still gives them the best chance to win. No way one of the other guys will do a better job. All three of his INTs were tipped passes. One of them was AJ's fault. That can happen to ANY QB.

We wrote off the season when we gave Cox the start in the first game. Keeping him might be writing off next year since somebody will then have to learn by getting thrown in the deep end.

If he is benched (which I doubt), I don't think it will be solely based on Saturday's performance. It will be based on his knack of throwing INT's at inopportune times in every game this season. And I also agree with limey, time to get prepared for next year, whether that be Gray, Murray, whoever.

The time to allow another QB valuable experience is in the spring or in lopsided games.
Believe me, if the enemy wants to use their QB as a scape goat and not address the real problem, that suits me fine.
But the poor kid will always be remembered for screwing up the season even though the blame is 110% the coaches.
I think Richt will recocnize that it's not Cox's fault and therfore there is no reason to ruin his last year of playing football. Spurrier ruined a QB (Dean) the same way in the early 90's. Not cool.
