I agree with what your saying to a point and apparently so do most of the dawg fans on here. Why is then they can't agree with comment (2a)? I understand that our team has nothing to do w/ Stafford and that he has no bearing on our game. But, it also goes the same way as Ole Miss/TT game, the quality of our non-conference schedule in 2008, none of them have any bearing on our game this Saturday either. Dawg fans criticized my comments about Dez Bryant saying that he isn't better and then some wants stats.....so I give them stats. Once again, the stats prove that Dez is a better receiver than Green. I understand that that he plays on Georgia's team and that fans want to take up for their player, but this isn't just my assesment. Go on ANY blog, writer, ESPN, AP, (get the picture) website and look at the stories about this years crop of WR's. They all will have one thing in common......#1 is Dez Bryant.

You need to read posts a little better before you embarass yourself. At no time did I say that Zac/Hunter/Dez were inferior to the gators, because they're not. What I did say was that Zac isn't surrounded by the kind of talent that Florida has. Meaning an All-American front four (not 5, cause we have O'kung), quality #2/3 recievers, quality TE's and thats why they havne't won a Big12 ring and we are always playing second fiddle to OU/UT. Because we always have one or two NFL caliber players, just can't recruit 8-11 in a class like Florida. And once again, I didn't say that Zac would have won 2 Nat'l Championships if he was at UF, I said Quinton Griffen from Baylor. Trust me we have three players that are Heisman candidates in Zac/Kendall/Dez, I believe they are the best trio in college football. So once again if your going to call me out....

Nah, I'm happy to have him here. At least his arguments have slowly progressed and gotten more interesting. Hell, he even called me out on a misspoken stat. That's a rarity.
hefley, a few things:
1) Thanks for starting to do research with your arguments. I appreciate that. Makes for better conversation and less pounding my head against a brick wall.
2) Matthew Stafford isn't here anymore, and I for one am grateful. Not that I didn't love watching him play when his head was in the game, but I hated watching him play when he had no clue what was going on (2007 SCarolina and Tennessee, 2006 Kentucky, etc). He's not necessarily Brett Favre, because Favre at least knows what it means to be an on-the-field leader. Watching Stafford for three years was a little like watching my hometown quarterback Jake Delhomme...you never knew if you were going to get a 6,000 yard passing game or six interceptions.
2a) But the point is that Stafford will have no bearing on Saturday's game. Bringing him up is like me asking you what your record was under Les Miles. It doesn't matter.
3) I don't dispute you on the stats. OSU outstatted Georgia in a good many categories. What I dispute you on is the quality of your competition. I'm not even going to get into the overall quality of Big 12 play versus the overall quality of SEC play, since every team in our conference has been to a bowl game in the last five years. The Big 12 cannot boast that.
In the meantime, I look forward to good civilized conversation in the next week. Also, I look forward to jaw-jacking you -- WITH FACTS!
