Trouble on Campus?

i think they should all be gone. our standard at UGA already is so the bar needs to be raised again!!! Drugs in my opinion should not be tolerated at all. 1 strike and your gone policy should be in effect!!!!!!!!! i am so pissed at our dawgs and COACHING STAFF

Keep in mind: Tony Wilson is gone. Figgins is gone for half the season after missing most of last season with a shoulder injury; given Orson Charles' talent and what Arron White showed us last year, I doubt Figgins will ever play a significant role.

Also, at Thug U, FSU, Tennessee, etc, these guys wouldn't be gone until we played Tennessee Tech, Vandy and Tennessee. We certainly wouldn't have suspended Justin Houston for the first two games of the season -- two important games, against Oklahoma State and SCarolina.

For our coaching staff: look, these kids are getting punished. They're getting suspended. We had one guy kicked off the team last year. We don't let kids in if their grades aren't up to snuff, unlike a lot of other schools. Don't let a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch, duck and GaBoi. We have a group of GREAT KIDS who are tops in the SEC academically on our football team.

It takes 85 players to make a football team. It takes one idiot to change the mood of the fan base. Players need to remember that. More importantly, they need to remember that it only takes one mistake with drugs, assault, theft, etc to go from being a statistic machine to just being a statistic. Go dawgs, and let's get back on track!

your right about the rest of the kids, but those 3 should still be gone. what kind of message are we sending. drugs are illegal, but at UGA we can get caught once and only miss a couple games, get caught again and miss a few more. 3rd strike and im out. NO! bottom line is its against the law, and they should not be allowed to play for us. maybe this is just my opinion b/c i hate drugs!!!

I'm with ya GaBoi. Zero tolerance policy should mean NONE, ZIPPO, NADA.....nope on dope!!! Period.

Plus, we have been having problems EVERY year. How many suspensions were handed out in 2002(?) for the first game of the year with Clemson....EIGHT or so? I know we all did some miscellaneous things while in college but I wasn't WEARING THE G !!!!

On the drug policy, the dawgs should kick anyone off the team caught that is breaking the law and for being so caught up in themselves not to worry about consequences.

But then, criticizing coaches and other players for that? I do not concur in that. All anyone can do is set an example and try to help these young boys. If they do not accept that help, then they are at fault, and not the coaches or the leaders of the team.

And, if, the team doesn't live up to unrealistic expectations. What then? Call for firing coaches? What do we want? Thug U, or an institution that sets high standards and lives up to them? Or a win at any cost mentality?

My vote goes to high standards and a team that plays hard for 60 minutes and lets that decide the games.

So is DUI, drinking underage, speeding, jay walking....where do you draw the line? each of those is potentially harmful to self and others.
