they will rotate stafford in occasionally, i'm sure. preseason will determine who starts the first game. hope to see some stafford on the field.

The last thing Matthew Stafford (formerly #7, now #11...crapshoot, anyone?) needs is to start in his first year in the NFL. He didn't even play his senior year in college, folks. Let him learn and grow. If he doesn't sit AT LEAST half the season, he will either be the bust that half the country thinks that he will be, or he'll be one of the greatest quarterbacks EVER in the NFL. Bank it.

Believe me, the money the Lions are paying MS, they will get him on the field as soon as feasibly possible.


Geez, all he has to do is win ONE game and he will be a hero in Detroit.

What does he have around him that makes you think he can even win one game? Calvin Johnson? Mr. Greatest Receiver Ever had a former league MVP throwing to him last year and couldn't win a game. The Lions mortgaged everything they have on Matthew Stafford. They literally have no cap space now, and it'll be worse next year.

Then again, I could be wrong. Look what Chad Pennington did down in Miami last year, after that team had gone 1-15 the year before. So I suppose anything in this entire world is possible.

dapolla, I was just hoping that out of 16 games, ONE team would have a bad day and Stafford could lead them to an impressive, uh, er, well......squeek by with a W. Hope his medical insurance by Lloyds of London is BIG.....no, HUGE.

Actually the point was whether he would get on the field, I say yes because of the mortgaging by the Lions.
