LB Coach Jancek promoted

IT WAS REPORTED IN THE AJC THAT ONE OF HIS REASONS FOR STAYING WAS BC OF CMR AND HIS RESPECT FOR HIM. IT SEEMS THAT THIS IS BECOMING A TREND WITH THE ASSISANT COACHES. HE IS THE THIRD ASSISTANT TO TURN DOWN AN OFFER FROM A DIFFERENT SCHOOL. CMR MUST BE DOING AND \"TREATING\" HIS ASSISTANT RIGHT FOR THESE GUYS TO BE TURNING DOWN OFFERS. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT CMR MAY HAVE PLANS UP HIS SLEEVE DOWN THE ROAD IF THE CURRENT DC CANT PRODUCE, JMO.

I think you're right, fire_dawg. These coaches turned down substantial raises to remain at UGA. Loyalty and unwavering personalities is what I am seeing from players and coaches. Out of the 17 players we had committed to us before signing day, not one changed his mind. We signed everyone we had on our board from day one of 2009 recruiting list! That's impressive!

I think that what a lot of people were talking about after the Tech game may be in its initial stages. The logical folks among us said that Willie's friendship with CMR would preclude his being fired, but that he might be demoted and someone else promoted -- or hired to -- the DC position. Looks like Jancek's getting his shot. If Georgia's D does well this year, and it's Jancek's doing, Richt will know.

At any rate, CWM needs input from another brain, particularly a brain that works with the people who are supposed to do the blitzing. Maybe now we'll see a few more of those packages. I like the move. I think you can tell.

Your right dapolla. Usually, and I said usually; two heads are better than one. Just hope they don't get into a power strugle and CWM locks up and will not listen to input from him. Because sometimes people's ego can't handle that type of situation and they think that the other person is trying to \"run the show\". Then other times, the only way for someone to accept change is if you make them think it was thier idea. Just hope CWM is not one of these type of people.

I was reading where CMR said that CWM was the final decision on Defense, but CJJ would have a lot more input to game planning. Could CMR be grooming CJJ for DC?
