LB Coach Jancek promoted

Coach John Jancek turned down an offer to become South Florida's Defensive Coordinator. His loyalty to our program was rewarded with a promotion to Co-Coordinator of our Defense. That makes a few of these promotions for our Assistants. I think this is a good move by CMR to get these guys on his staff experience in other areas of the game. I don't think it would be much of a monetary promotion but maybe he's thinking ahead for when a coach on his staff gets an offer he can't turn down.... Or maybe replacing one who can't seem to get it right. Not mentioning any names!:S What do the masses think?

Co-coordinator of the defense...and he's the guy in charge of the linebackers...who are really the ones in charge of blitzing...anyone else's gears turning on this one?

Definately a step in the right direction! I'm already liking the way this could shape up. GATA!!

As Popeye would say . . . . \"me thinks this is going to be an interesting year Watson\". There won't be a place for anyone to hide. Many or most of the UGA faithful will have their eyes focused on the defense. As it should be. Read into this what you will, most understand, including the coaches dapolla. Go Dawgs!

Im not a huge fan of the Co DCs but hey, I'm def up for something new! It cant hurt! :laugh:

Also might give Jancek a little leverage on decision making on Defense.(maybe a little more stunts and blitzes from our linebackers) I like it! Also keeps coached on their toes, looking over their shoulders!
