Branden Smith vs. Dez Bryant

So who thinks Branden will be on the field 1st game against the monster Dez Bryant? I dont see who else could run with him? Welcome to the next level Branden!! Man I am going through such withdrawals, come on G-Day!!:blink:

Usually not that early in his career because he won't have a lot of practice before that first game. He is a lock down type CB. If he practices well in the fall and works hard, CWM might assign him to DW to try and shut him down. I'd have a Safety keep an eye on him in the beginning, just in case. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play early, he is that good. It would be a chance for him to turn heads immediately. I'd love to see it.

Dez is a monster, no doubt about it. But our ground game with Hunter, Toston, and Robinson is pretty danged good.

IMO, he doesn't need to start his career by trying to cover Dez. Bottom line is......he doesn't have the experience and Dez does. Dez would school him in the 1st game of his career. They'll double Dez.

There you go again wlayton . . . totally agree with you on covering Dez. My thought . . . WM thinks for some reason that our linebackers can drop back with no problems into coverage and all is good. I nominate you for Defensive Coach and fire_dawg for DB coach. Problem solved. :woohoo:
