I had heard that too, wlayton. But after signing day, and we didn't get a couple of the guys we had hoped for, maybe we did offer him one. I hope so. I find it hard to believe he would be considering us without a scholarship offer on the table.

wlayton, went back through some of the recruiting material concerning offers to various players. Noticed that UGA was not listed as offering. Have also heard a little bit about grades, all I can say is, what's new. These guys need to put at least a portion of their time in the books, or at least paying attention in class. Don't know if that is Geather's situation, but it has hounded many \"potential\" recruits. Was looking forward to Toby Jackson wearing the Red and Black, just another case of grades.

Thanks for the feedback sadler, buc, dawgspeare, wlayton. I now just read where the Vols are making a late run at Kwame and he was on campus in Knoxville just today...PLEASE KWAME, I CAN WISH YOU WELL IF YOUR HEART LEADS YOU TO UCF BUT DON'T GO & PLAY FOR THE SEC'S NEWEST \"fill in the blank\" OF A HEAD COACH!!!
DawgSpeare, you ask a thought provoking question as usual. I'm gonna be greedy and say, I WANT EM' BOTH! While that's true, I guess that's not a good answer so I'll go with Kwame over Orson as well. Yes, OC is the higher rated player and from all accounts I've heard on here and elsewhere, he's simply a rare football talent. Still, based on the Dawgs immediate needs, I'm of the opinion that we need another BIG BODY at DT more than we need another TE w/Figgins, White, and Fontaine-Lynch already in the stable. Buc & wlayton, I have also heard that grades are an issue but I was pretty certain that CMR and CRG had both stated that Kwame had a scholarship waiting on him, but as yall know, I've been wrong before. Guess we'll find out real soon.
C'mon down the Classic City Kwame! Surely you realize that a guy of your stature looks much sleeker in Red & Black as opposed to that hideous Volunteer orange

Kwame Geathers and his family are going to delay his decision until next week. He just got back from UT and he wants to clear his head before making his decision. IMO, he and his dad are really enjoying the attention. He wants to milk as much as he can being the big man on campus, before he becomes \"just a Freshman\" again. He will be an asset to us, but quite frankly, I am getting really tired of a high school senior who hasn't played a down of college football, demanding all this attention from prospective coaches and media. I think these kids have plenty of time to make their minds up where they want to play. Just my opinion.:S
