Back in 2001 Notre Dame found out O'Leary had lied on a few occasions in his biography issued to and released by the University. In the biography he claimed to have a Masters in Education from New York Univ. and lettered three times in football for New Hampshire, (I think), which were both untrue.

Correct on O'Leary. He is now the head coach at UCF in Orlando, has been there for several years.

Notre Dame is glad they found about O'leary when they did. He has produced spectacular 26-36 record there. And a played died during rigorous conditioning exercises since he has been there. He has also lost 2 bowl games there. But Notre Dame is no stranger to losing a bowl game either.

Thanks Watson for clearing that up. I wasn't positive but i knew it was one of them..:P He did resign as HC of ND so that has to be the shortest coaching stint ever. :silly:

Anything ever develope down at Miami. I heard shannon would take over the D if he couldn't find a replacement.

golferdawg, believe he's going to take over as the DC. Probably because if he gets fired as the HC maybe they will keep him as the DC....its the only thing he can do anyway.
