UGA Formations

Guess that I am on board with much of what sadlerdawg said. Also like the idea of being vertical with the receivers we have, they should give the enemy more than they can handle. This could very well be a surprising year. Yes, we lost our starting QB and #1 tailback, but last time I looked, seems to me there are some young men ready to step up. Also, offensive line has a chance to be head and shoulders above last year, experience and pray they stay healthy. I am beginning to get (whisper) (excited) about the possibilities for 2009.

Did want to add this . . . . Back in the late 60's VD went to what was called then a VEER offense. We of course at that point were running the football most of the time. Think that he started the VEER after we played Houston. It was an effective offense, but ball-handling was a must.

Interesting quotes all, some sharp dudes/dudettes on this board.

Like most of you I like the screens also.......... if we run them every now an again. Not like the JD years when it was every other play. Lot of teams don't cover the screens like they use to. Our half back screens over the last 2 years worked and picked up a lot of yardage. I could see RS being that back this year! I don't know if JoeC has the accurate deep arm threat like MS but he can throw it high into traffic and almost is certain someone will catch it. Lets keep the Pro-Style with more formations under center and LG in the wild dawg!

I say it give it to Cox, let him run the O and stay on the field to not lose his rhythm. CMR can give LG time to run some different looks when we're up by three scores. Cox, his leadership and winning ways need to be on the field not watching from the sidelines until the game is locked.

Pro style, run the ball, stretch the field with these phenoms we have at WR and for the love of all that's great, play FOUR freakin' quarters of solid D Willie!

That will win championships.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I'm drinking the kool-aid that you guys are fixin :P !!! I would like to see us also bring in the TE more then we have currently. Remember those grabs and saves that our TE's have made over the years. Who can forget LP running over that UT safety. HAHA j/p. I've already called for a upset at work over OSU starting next year, call me crazy but I KNOW we can put it on em' comboys. Sorry RxCowboy.

Also...and I know this doesn't have anything to do with the topic or forum, but I didn't want to start a new topic. Just thought to let you guys know that I will be bringing up a future dawg in the coming months. My wife is 7 weeks. Although we don't know the gender yet, IT WILL BE A DAWG! This is also my first.

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

born2bAdawg, congratulations to you and your wife. Special time in your lives. Always good to add another Dawg to the nation. :woohoo:

If we should land Orson Charles, it is as many have said, covering the group of receivers we can put on the field at one time is an almost impossible task. He and Marlon Brown remind me of one another, lots of similarities.

born2bAdawg, congratulations on your 1st child....awesome!!

BTW, I'm not so sure that we will be the underdog against OSU the way their conference showings took shape in the bowls.
