Cox was 31-0

sadlerdawg, it will be interesting to watch Cox taking the snaps. Reflecting on the movement of Stafford to the pros, caused me to stop and think about the New England Patriots situation at QB, beginning of the year. Means so much to have the offense mastered, meaning knowing the playbook. New England QB Cassell in my mind is what patience and understanding is all about. I think that the same patience and understanding will be shown by Cox this season. Like you, I too am looking forward to Cox under center. Go Dawgs!

Buc, I equate it to Tee Martin taking over for Peyton Manning, or D.J. Shockley taking over for David Greene. The Cassell-for-Brady equation is accurate, as is the Brady-for-Bledsoe or Hostetler-for-Simms transition. I'm looking forward to 2009, as you all well know. GO DAWGS!!!!

Once again your history and recall are never far from this board dapolla. Several good comparisons in the group. I know that we have a couple of highly rated QB's headed to Athens, makes me proud, however me getting a little long in the tooth, like a little experience mixed in with the youth.

Buc, hopefully JC will be able to engineer a few blow-outs to get the back-ups some playing time this year so they'll be ready for '10. I'm still hoping Bobo has a few scenarios where whichever qb ends up #2 can get some meaningful playing time too.

Seems as if we are on the same page an awful lot sadlerdawg. Personally, I worry about Rxdawgboy's alma mater. The Cowboys could prove to be a major hurdle, just my thoughts. As far as JC, I tend to lean in the direction of a more complete offensive game plan, such as I think you are suggesting. Long completions are a thing of beauty, but those running backs can sure put up a lot of points. Hate to say it, but the spread offenses around the country are still giving defensive coaches fits. Remember the Veer? That was productive for UGA once upon a time.
