Excellent point SD. Had not crossed my mind. Guess this is a true indication of how folks feel outside the boundaries of UGA football.
Does anyone else find it curious that we have 2 asst coaches being considered for Head Coaching jobs (Tony Ball at UT-Chat) and neither one is the coordinator on their respective side of the ball???

Thought I would throw this paragraph in, located in AJC, Tony Barnhart column.
1. Will Muschamp will not the be the next coach at Auburn: I just got off the phone with Will Muschamp, the defensive coordinator and head coach in waiting at Texas. He emphatically shot down television reports in Mobile that he would be the named the next coach at Auburn today.
“I have not talked to Auburn about this job and I have no interest in the job,” said Muschamp. “I really don’t know what else to say. I’m going to stay at Texas until they fire me.”
My sources tell me that some Board of Trustee members did pick up the phone and call Muschamp to find out if he was interested. But those sources also tell me that when Muschamp was at Auburn as DC, he and athletics director Jay Jacobs did not part on the best of terms.

Great just what we need.
Patterson would be an excellent hire for Auburn.
Who is \"they,\" Dawg1277? ESPN reported that Gary Patterson of TCU interviewed for the job yesterday. So no one is getting named anything yet. Read the news, not the chatter.
Great just what we need.

I guess we just have to wait and see. A different reporter on ESPN just said the same thing as the first did. I hope they are wrong.

Tony Barnhart spoke to Muschamp this morning, and he said the only way that he is leaving Texas is if they fire him.
Rodney Garner interviewed for the job at Auburn. He would love to have that job, and he has stated such. However, I can’t imagine that Auburn will hire a guy (even though he’s an alum) that has never even been a coordinator. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Auburn hire Turner Gill, or Patterson from TCU or Graham from Tulsa.
I think the best thing that they could do would be to re-hire Tommy Tuberville, but they’re obviously not going to do that. I think that Auburn may have set their program back for the next 10 years. Tuberville had a bad year, and he made a mistake trying to switch to the spread. However, the reason that he was fired was not because of what’s happening at Auburn, the administration panicked because of what’s happening in Tuscaloosa. They are in big trouble in my opinion.
