Capital One Bowl

Gotta love when the bowl game is close to home. I had that luxury with the Sugar Bowl last year.

I've been looking at some of those tickets in sec 208 and 209. Around $110-$180 each. That's not too bad IMO for 2nd level around the 50yd line.

Think they have a pretty good shot in this one, MSU is barely average in the big 10 this year which equates them being down near vanderbilt level in the SEC. Probably a tough game but is willie can realize that the best thing they have is a running game we should do ok but then that didnt help us against GT.

Well, I said I'd come back when I knew which bowl game we were going to and I've lived up to my word.

Michigan State will run all over us, but we'll win. I'm predicting a game like we had against Ole Miss last year, where Benjarvis Green-Ellis ran for nearly 200 yards but we won 48-17. I'm not saying it'll be that big of a blowout, but we'll win decisively. No way they can compensate for our speed with their defense. If they can't catch Ohio State or Penn State, they can't catch A.J. or MoMass. Period.

I hope so. It would be nice to end up the season with a positive note.

I agree, dapolla. But I think it will be more along the lines of that ole miss victory. Something like 45-17. By then Stafford and Moreno will have made their choices and it will be like one last hoorah for whoever goes. Not to mention the underclassmen will avenge their seniors! They will send 'em off with a BIG win. Stafford throws for over 300 and MoMass has 200 of them. Knowshon goes for 150+ looking for a 1500 yard season. Defense is going to look like something we haven't seen all year. Holds Ringer to under 100 and the Dawgs WIN BIG!

No doubt our D will have to contain Ringer. He is their offense.

Some quick stats on number 23:

Touches the ball on average 34 times per game and accounts for 164 of their 352 yds/game. He has the most touches in CFBS. He runs, receives, and returns kickoffs.

Some encouraging points to ponder:

936 of his rushing yards came aginst opponents suchs as E. Michigan, FL Atlantic, Notre Lame, and Indiana. He averaged 234 yds/game against those four and 10 of his TD's came in these four games(five against FL Atlantic).

Only 203 of his rushing yds came against better opposition in Iowa, OSU, PSU and Michigan. He averaged 51 yds/game against a better defense.

Also the MSU D is giving up 148 yds/game and 4.7 per carry so KM should have a field day.
