SEC Championship Predictions

SEC Championship Predictions was created by GatorinGA
If you look at UF forums, most members there seem to expect a big win for the Gators. Of course the Bama forums predict a win for the Tide.

Since this is a \"somewhat\" neutral forum on the topic, I thought I get your predictions.

So what is the feeling here?
Who wins and what is the score?

Thanks.

I have always been a big believer in the OL and DL's control the game. Do believe UF has very good OL and DL's (OL being the strongest, especially with the injuries on the DL) but Bama definitely has the edge with the OL and DL's. I \"could\" invision Bama coming out, controlling and slowing down the game but just think that UF has way to many weapons (and not just on offense). Their special teams can score, whether on returns or blocked kicks, their D can score and of course the offense can strike at anytime and from anywhere on the field. Believe Bama will be in it early but UF will pull away in the second half, just too much for Bama to shut down for too long of a time.

UF 38 Bama 17

UF 45 Alabama 17

It gives me no pleasure in predicting that score, trust me. But Bama' has not had a tough enough schedule this year to seriously compete with Florida and the SEC West is falling apart. Look for Florida to score early & often, with or without Harvin. I could see a halftime score of 28-3. Florida hasn't had the toughest schedule either, but they have had to play LSU, UGA, Tennessee, etc. so they're a bit more tested than Alabama is.

Unfortunately, that's what this Dawg sees in his crystal ball.

I also agree the lines on both sides of the ball control the outcome. Bama has this in the holster. They also have a big back to grind it out. With Harvin out, UF seems to become more of a one direction offense. It's still very dangerous though. I think Bama (as much as I hate the man) also has a better coach. Especially with his experiance in the SEC. I think the winner will be who has the ball the longest. Since Bama has a grind it out back with a better line, they will squeak it out.

I am curious to see how UF's line handles Cody though. If they can control him. Florida wins. If they can keep him away from the ball carrier, Florida's speed will win the game for them.

All in all though. I have no idea. I've been wrong most of the time this year.

As everyone says defense wins championships. Both teams have very good defenses so it could come down to 2 things: Special teams and controlling the clock, tie here also. Special teams would goto Florida, clock control would be Bama's specailty. I will give Saban the edge in this game getting his crew jacked up like he did against us. Urban can't use the footage of us dancing in the endzone to get his team fired up for this one. If bama can keep their offense on the field they win. If not enjoy playing the Utes in the sugar bowl.

Score 31 Bama
24 Gators
