I believe both are gone. KM probably needs to go....he's had around 500 carries the last 2 years and if he stayed, tack on another 250. A RB's body is good for only so many carries that it can withstand in a career. KM needs to move those carries to the next level to lengthen his career.
I'd agree with you, wlayton, if it weren't for two people: DeAngelo Williams and Reggie Bush. Remember how dynamic Bush was supposed to be coming out of college? Remember WHY he came out early? How'd that work out? He's too small to be an every-down back because he can't run up the middle, and NFL speed has shut down his game.
Meanwhile, DeAngelo Williams racked up over 6,000 yards in his four years originating the Wildcat formation at Memphis, and faced the same sort of \"wear-and-tear\" arguments against drafting him high, and was even on the same side of them since it was my Carolina Panthers doing the drafting. DeAngelo looks great now and has evolved, thanks to the departure of the very disappointing DeSean Foster, into a great starting running back, especially now that he has Jonathan Stewart to back him up.
All I'm saying is that Knowshon cannot rely on that one spin move over and over again to get him through an NFL career. Getting another year or two, plus some more muscle and experience, on him will help him tremendously. He may be eligible after this year, but he's still only played two years, only started a year and a half. He's not ready. Period.
Stafford's gone. Go out and buy your kids an Aaron Murray or Logan Gray jersey.
