BVG is very much like Leo Mazzone...he was brilliant for years with the Braves as their pitching coach, but no one...I MEAN NO ONE liked him. Now that he's gone, even though the Braves are having more pitching problems than they've had since he left, and Leo's out of a job, no one's clamoring after him to come back to Atlanta. I think the same is true of BVG. Being unlikeable is one thing, burning bridges as Leo and Van Gorder did is another.
