Also, TE Aaron White sprained his shoulder and won't play against LSU either. Hope Figgins can go again this week.

Figgins has a torn labrum but will play with it; he's putting off surgery until after the season. Erk would be proud.

Meanwhile, Tripp Chandler is questionable for this weekend. CMR is hopeful that Dannell Ellerbe will play, and on Wednesday even said he'd make the trip and \"pad up\" for the game, although Darryl Gamble will still start. Not to mention the fact that we've been working both Southerland and Chapas out at TE.

By the way, how impressed are all of you with Shaun Chapas? Personally I think we're going to be okay when Brannan graduates...Chapas has had long runs and receptions in each of the last two games. I'm liking him!

There has been no drop off with Chapas. Good Fullback, TE?. Depth has certainly been the key to our season thus far.

I am very happy w/ Chapas. He has stepped up big time when we needed him most. Keep letting the kid get a few touches a game, I say. He's proved himself already.

The guy's a player. He certainly gives you more running ability than Southerland but BS is a more devastating blocker.

Here's my breakdown of chapas vs sutherland

open field running-chapas has the edge
blocking-look at a lot of clips, theyre about equal in blocking ability
shortyardage poundings against goal line d's-sutherland definately... we still havent seen much of chapas in this arena due to bobo doing some different things inside the 10....of course this may be the reason he is doing things differently too
