My only concern is beating LSU.

Win the SEC.

Win, Lose or Draw average, totally agree with DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE POLLS! I can certainly remember the early years of Coach Dooley . . . SUN BOWL looked real good to me back in the day. Patience, just like the early 60's. Starting to get a little fed up with some of the posters, some don't know the struggles to get to where we are. P on the polls, play football. ESPN has done more to destroy college football than any TV broadcaster or organization that I can recall in my lifetime. As I said in another thread. . . . . .line up . . . the FREE KOOL-AID doesn't take too long. Patience. Go Dawgs!

after seeing LSU struggle against SCar I am gad to say many of my previous worries are unfounded...SCars line manhandled LSU...of course what did UGA have against Vandy? Uninspired pass rush...

I think we may see defensive schemes change for LSU, vs. Vandy the blitz was nonexistent, theyd send the line but that was it...I hope this is Martinez keeping his hand close to his chest. I personally wouldn't do this because I think a defense should be an attacking mechanism and used to build and maintain momentum, this momentum goes game to game with a pumped up defense.

I think we'll see more blitzes, and i hope they throw in some corner blitzes from byrd as it would give him a new purpose since his primary one isnt working out that well, not to say i dislike the guy but it seems like passes are completed to whomever he is covering.

our other issue which should resolve itself hopefully soon is kicking, blair walsh missed two..he's better than this and i think he'll mature and be more reliable in pressure situations

finally....there was soem serious BS involved in pass interefernce calls, especially the one against asher allen

make kicks and dont have the allen interference call and thats atleast another touch down worth of points

look at LSU's schedule, who have they played? North texas? a disappointing auburn side? they struggled against scar and got pounded by UF.

I'm not nearly as worried as I was two weeks ago

still a little worried, but I usually am

Seems as if the originator of this thread likes to post, doesn't like answering the tough questions. You post it, you back it up. Talk is really cheap, again, back it up with knowledge. Guessing that you have time on the turf as a player, or a coaching background. Show time. Go Dawgs.

wlayton, most of these folks are posting out of frustration. I understand that, as do you. Just stay off of the young studs backs. It is not different than walking into a new job, either out of high school or college, have to figure out what the program has to offer and the way they want it done. A lot of the hype on this board is about the \"POLLS\". We have a good, young football team and I would not trade this group of players for any in the country. We started as the #1 rated team in the nation, stop and think about who put us there, the \"talking heads\" and those associated with the media. We beat a very good Vanderbilt team and it makes me proud. When I am right, know that you and some of the real football folks on this board have my back. Go Dawgs! :woohoo:

I think we're going to see more blitzes against LSU. For one thing, they have a pair of inexperienced quarterbacks, and if that doesn't send a message to CWM to blitz blitz blitz, then I don't know what will. For another, even Kevin Butler on the Fifth Quarter Show Saturday was saying that he didn't understand not blitzing. For a third...do you remember Florida last year? After all the frustration, not blitzing, not blitzing, a tight win over Vandy...all of a sudden we exploit Florida's offensive line and sack Tebow six times. Then we do the same to Auburn and sack or intercept Brandon Cox over and over again. Same thing with Colt Brennan.

I think you'll see it against LSU. If you don't, expect the Bengals to come out victorious.
