How the season will end: a vision

You can bet the pollsters are wetting themselves with excitement right about now, looking for any excuse to vote USC #1 after their 69 point shutout of the UNRANKED Washington State. I bet that, despite Bama and Texas and Penn State all still being undefeated, some yahoo will still give them at least one first place vote.

If Ohio State doesn't jump us tomorrow, they will if they beat Penn State the following weekend.

So, the way I see it going down is Texas runs the table, 'cause by now I think we all have to admit they're the real deal. Texas Tech is their only real semi-challenge left. They should dispose with Oklahoma State with ease and waltz right through Mizzou again in the Big 12 title game just like they did tonight.

So, it becomes a battle for second place for the rest of us to see who earns the right to face the Longhorns in Miami.

USC won't lose again. They already got bit and they're back in form beating the mighty, mighty powerhouses of the Pac 10 by 30+ points on a regular basis.

Ohio State and Penn State should be a dandy. Winner wins the Big 10. I'm thinking it will be PSU, but am hoping OSU can pull it off just to drop an undefeated team out of our Dawgs way.

So, say at season's end we end up with: undefeated Texas, 1 loss USC, 1 loss Ohio State, 1 loss Georgia just beaten Alabama in the SEC title game. Now, if that happens, you better believe the media will be looking for any excuse it can find to put us at #4 so that we don't get in the way of any of their golden children (USC and tOSU for the chance to play for all the marbles). They'll be plotting and scheming trying to send us to the Sugar Bowl instead of the BCS NC game in Miami.

I'm betting Ohis State jumps us in the next polls and probably in the first BCS rankings. I'd almost be disappointed in the media if they didn't. Reason being if OSU did not jump us the media would not only be biased, they would also be inconsistent which is a double whammy in my book.

I think you are all crazy, if UGA were to run the table and win the SEC while all the other teams keep winning(except against us of course) there is no way they can keep us out of the NC game. USC's conference schedule alone is reason to keep them out of the NC game, hell is there another Pac 10 team that is even going to be ranked at the end of the season? I seriously doubt it, add in the average OSU win and their SOS drops way down.

I see the BCS keeping us up there with all the human voters loving USC.

I've already chocked it up. The media doesn't want another SEC team winning the MNC. They will do what ever it takes to knock us out. I would not be suprised if Penn State was ranked a head of Bama in the BCS polls when they come out. They are tired of being made to look foolish with all of there \"aragant favortism\". Two years in a row they said this and that. Then the SEC teams would com in and shut them up. Well, at least until they came up with some hair brained idea saying they knew it all the while. They were just making it \"Media Worthy\".

All the more reason we need to go to a playoff. We can start to get rid of the morons on T.V.

The only BCS bowl we are going to if we win out is the Sugar Bowl. We are the only team to be ranked first and drop two straight weeks after wins. then when we did get beat we dropped further than any team beat by a top ten team and we haven't moved in the polls since. till there is a playoff system in place there will never be a true national champion! if there is a one loss team in the NC it won't be us.

My only concern is beating LSU.
Let's don't get ahead of ourselves.
Win the East.
Win the SEC.
Don't worry about the polls.
