THE TIME IS NOW

This GA team is a very young team. They are growing with every game, and the Bama game probably provided them with the greatest growth. They will be OK. We may lose another game, but we still need to focus on the SEC championship. Win that, then see where we are.

I don't mean to be negitive guys, or have a bad attitude toward the team. I don't want you guys to think that I am some band wagon fan, for I am 56 years old and have loved UGA since I was 4. I go to as many games as I can and always support the dawgs with my contribution each year.

I guesss I just try to be realistic and when I read some of the post on how we are going to destroy another team and win by 20 to 30 points, I just get worried that if the fans believe that we are going to win so easily what do the players think.

I respect everyone on this board and it is never my intention to sound negitive or to down grade our team. I have always beeen the type to not predict the out come, just watch and hope that it unfolds the way I want. If that happens, then I gloat and brag. I just don't like to have high hopes and make prediction and be made a fool of as what happened in the Ala game. The Ala fans have been our every blog I've read as well as other team fans trashing our program and spoiling our NC hopes.

I know what you're saying, duck. Sometimes you have to be realistic. I think alot of the predicted blowout scores are hopeful optimism. I believe everyone knows this team is going to be in for a fight this weekend, as well as every weekend, especially against SEC teams. There are very few teams to be taken for granted any more, and certainly the SEC has no teams that are an automatic win.

Something to think about, though, is that you said you worry about what the team thinks if the fans think we can win so easily. What do you think the players might think if they read the fans saying ....\"we are not a good football team\"...\"got very lucky to win\"...or \"there was no real comeback\". Just food for thought.

Just watched Coach Richt's weekly press conference. He makes TN sound like a pro team. Going to be a tough one this week. That is his message to us and to the team. Coach Dooley was a master at praising the other team, and it seems as if CMR has learned from the best.
