The silver lining...

I know this was a disappointing night for ya'll and you didn't look good at times, but UGA is still probably one of the ten best teams in the country. You simply had a bad night against a Bama team that's better than anyone expected. Get tough, get fired up, learn from this game & correct the problems from tonight, and we expect to see you folks again in Atlanta in a few months.

Alabama outplayed us and made us look bad, it's true. But did anyone here honestly think we would run the table? Not in your hearts but in your rational minds. I agree. As much as it hurts, if we had to lose a game, I'm glad it was this one instead of Florida. Once we take out Vandy and Florida, the East is ours, and Bama get ready for the rematch in the dome!

I know y'all are huring bad like me. But we win like men and we'll lose like men!
Congratulations Bama, you won the day.

I dont see any silver lining. We have just been taken behind the woodshed. We had no swagger whatsoever. From CMR down to UGA, they all looked like Prince Xannax.NO fire or sense of urgencey.Does everyone remember USC last year? Get it together guy's or we are in for a long year.
We are still behind you, and always will be.I'll do my part if you will do your's and we WILL meet up in Tampa.Keep your heads up guy's,we'll get em in the SEC championship.

I am trying to see the siler linin but we have problems. Our defense is soft against anybody with a pulse on offense. 31pts in the first half is unacceptable. Also this game is much worse than the score indicates. It wouldn't be so bad if we lost close but we got handled. Hopefully we can run the table the rest of the season and get a rematch but losing like this just doesn't make me feel very optimistic.

Our D made JPW look like Joe Montana. We are undisciplined the penalties were horrendous. The hold by Jones when they only brought 3 guys is just the tip of the iceberg. I don't know maybe I am just being hard on the team and am a little disappointed. I am just disgusted right now.

While you're making great points, the game is much closer in the first half if we don't self destruct. I mean the old woulda, coulda, shoulda is an old story but we neglect a fumble on their first drive, give them 52 free yards (via penalties) on their first two drives I think, lose a fumble in what would have been a first down and on top of that our punter has an average of 24 yards on his first two kicks. 24 freaking yards?! Not to take anything away from Bama but we did everything to lose the game in the first half and against a good opponent, very good opponent I might say, this will kill you.

Now as for the silver lining, things like penalties, terrible kicks and fumbles are all correctable. Things like a terrible defensive gameplan can also be corrected, even though we play this passive all year. What is a reason for concern is that we got handled in the trenches and there is where football games are decided...
