Bama Fan Comes in Peace with A Bama Preview

Keep in mind that, like myself, BeachBama starts off every season believing that the Tide can and will win every game. Most of us are like that. Both of our seasons hinge on this game. Consider, on 'Bama's side, that they have yet to play LSU, the defending national champions and until somebody proves otherwise, a very good football team. They also have yet to play Auburn, and say what you want about their offense this year, until the Tide snap that streak it's still War Eagle all over that state.

On our side, we've just come off a grueling road trip that included a squeaker over South Carolina and a cross-country trek to Arizona. We get a week off to prepare for Tennessee; how we go into that bye week will shape our schedule. Make no mistake about it; if Florida is the toughest game of the second half of our schedule, then Alabama is the toughest of the first half.

It should be a great game.

By the way, BeachBama, have you considered that the Tide might be outrushing us because John Parker Wilson doesn't have the arm strength to carry Matt Stafford's jock? When you have a balanced offense (Stafford has three 200-yard passing games) like ours, you don't need to pound the rock for 289 every game to win. Just food for thought...

Wait a second, wait a second. I just re-read that post. Did he actually say that Alabama has the coaching edge?

That's it, BeachBama, the gloves are off. You want some, you come get some!

I guess the coaching edge disappeared against LaMonroe.
Wait until next year.

I'm actually happy they did as well as they did against Klempsun and Arky. They're confident. They think they're better than they are. The Dawgs are the first real opponent they've faced and with that comes the inevitable eye-opening realization that the Tide still has much work to do. Dawgs will take this one.
