Bama Fan Comes in Peace with A Bama Preview

By the way, BeachBama, have you considered that the Tide might be outrushing us because John Parker Wilson doesn't have the arm strength to carry Matt Stafford's jock? When you have a balanced offense (Stafford has three 200-yard passing games) like ours, you don't need to pound the rock for 289 every game to win. Just food for thought...
JPW is a good QB... sometimes. He is a lesser talent than Stafford especially in the decision making department as last year proved. Most winning teams stick with what is working. If it is run and pass, then great. If is one or the other, great. I am just hoping for another good game like last year with the opposite results of course.

Hey that's why they play them... Saban at LSU lost to UAB! Then won the SEC the next year... Then a national championship later... Hmmmm now that's one
for Saban and how many for Richt???
Actually, brother, that's 1/2 for Saban, 0 for Richt.

At least all your fans are respectful and like us, smart enough to at least be a little nervous. You bunch a great sportsmen and in a way, it's a shame we have to knock each other out before the SECG where I fully expect to see you again...
This is the game I've been worried about since I re-watched last year's over the summer. Last year's 'Bama team was nowhere near as good as we were and nowhere near as good as this year's 'Bama team, yet every time we opened up a lead (10 points each time), 'Bama turned right around and closed the gap. And you're telling me they're better this year? Durn!
Again, I'm predicting a 26-24 Georgia win. And I'm as scared as I was going into the 2004 Tennessee game...all of us Dawgs know how that one turned out...

I'm new around here, but I felt compelled to respond. I became a diehard Dawg fan about 8 years ago, have not missed a single game, and I still wear the same ratty 8 year old Georgia T-shirt every Saturday (superstitious much?). I am originally from Miami and have been a Dolphins fan since around 1974, and watched Coach Richt play at UM when Jim Kelly went down in '82.
Nick Saban may be a good football coach, but in South Florida he is considered a smarmy little weasel. I respect him as a coach (I guess) due to his NC title and record, even though he failed miserably in the NFL a la \"the old ball coach\".
I am an UGA fan first, but if the Dawgs don't make it any given year, I always root for the SEC team that's left, like I rooted for LSU last year.
In this case, however, I would find it difficult to root for Bama if they make it to the BCSNC, just because (Lord forgive me) I would love to see Saban fail.
You can compare coaching records all day long, but Saban can't stand in the same galaxy with Coach Richt, who is the epitome of a class act...as he was at Miami, FSU, and now UGA.
Sorry Bama fans, but the good guys always win in the end. You have a good team...now if you'd only bring Mike Shula back...
