That's right. The pollsters can't vote on a SEC Championship, that's won on the field.

SEC Champions should play for the NC, but who knows?

This is all in the distant future. As already mentioned in the thread, we have such a tough road tbat we can be happy if we finish with one loss, let alone running the table which would be unbelievable considering our tough schedule. All we can do is hope that Georgia at the end of the year will be among the two best teams in the country and that they get the spot they deserve. Think from game to game... atleast that's what the team should do.

All I can say is that were in the top 5 and we didn't start this season like last. I would love a NC this year but if we get the SECCG then i'm fine cause that's our overall goal as a SEC team.

I could not agree more.

I agree concerning the team's \"game to game\" focus. I would be dissapointed hearing our coaches and players complain about the polls. But, I am a fan and I want a National Championship. I want the USC-Obcessed National media to give us some respect. SEC Championships are great and, the last 2 years, has provided an opporunity to play for a National Championship. But in 2002, 2004 and 2005 it hasn't provided anything but a Sugar Bowl. I think the national media is looking for a reason to shut out an SEC team from the big game. They are tired of lopsided National Championship Games and they would prefer to have two evenly-matched mediocre teams who have played mediocre schedules provide a competitive championship game. That can't happen if an SEC team is in the game. I guess they could put Vandy in the game against the \"mighty\" Buckeyes for a competitive game.
