I would say that he's one of the best that's out there. Of course the running game helps but he knows how to manage the game very well with his audibles and reading other teams D's. I know we've played some cupcakes the first two games but any team can lose on a given day...have already had upsets. This year I believe that we will see the #1 QB because everyone on the team is behind him and he knows it. Best for a QB to know that your receivers won't be dropping as many balls since their confidence is up and our running game will only keep rolling, which is caused by everyone believing in one another.

Yep. BTW, MS will be the next John Elway (plays just like him, along with arm strength).

wlayton, watched an interview with MS by a Dallas reporter short time back. MS said he would love to play for the Cowboys, and John Elway was his quarterback of choice. Huge game Saturday, looking forward to it. Hoping that Spurrier is wearing a cap. . . .

I think Stafford has matured Mentally. He has figured the game out on a SEC level. He has all the physical attributes. Let's not forget, his freshman year was baptism under fire. I think he knows now he doesn't have to make every play. It certainly doesn't hurt to have a Knowshon Moreno back there either.

He's been saying it for over a year, and I heard him say it at a function here in Charlotte where there were no cameras, no reporters, just business execs like myself sitting around jawing about college football.

Besides, Herbstreit's not an idiot, and you would have to be an idiot not to see that #7 is #1.
