SC is always a big concern. The only real positive is we do seem to play them better there (Columbia) than we do at home.

We looked 100% better against Central Michigan than we did against Southern, but we MUST play better on \"D\". Too many \"missed 'em by this much\" tackles and weak pressure from the \"D\" line and \"D\" backs. Every long run they had seemed that someone missed a tackle opportunity in their backfield or at the line.

Both \"O\" and \"D\" are playing like the \"uninspired\" team of early last year. The intensity was not there until 3rd Quarter Saturday, after Knowshon's \"Hurdle\". Thought Demarcus Dobbs inteception was a spark. Central Michigan was a good team, but not 17 points good against what should be the #2 in the BCS defense.

Matt and/or Knowshon should be in the top 5 of any early Heisman talk but the ESPN Halftime Show, didn't mention either one! Still had T'bo at #1 after what was probably his worst career start against Hawa'ii last week.

Hope Willie got good tape on how Miami went on the offensive with their defense against T2. They had the plan going on. Kept he and Percy well away from each other. They had T'bo pressured, rattled, and the UM Offense kept the UF \"O\" off the field most of the first three quarters but then ran out of gas in the 4th.

To have success against the UF \"O\" you have to keep T'bo moving east/west/south and not let him \"go\" or \"thro\" north.

I know, too long winded, sorry.

gri5thj:

SC didnt play any different this week than last. Vandy didnt get hardly any pressure on the QB and look what happened. Their corners shut USC passing game down. Our D line is much better and so are our corners. Smelly isn't going to have an answer for \"what do i do?\"

as for the intensity. we were fine. how much intensity can you expect from someone when you cant be stopped and your winning by 28? and our O is fine (great!)

I CANT WAIT TO GET OUR SWEET REVENGE!!!

Goooooo Dawgs...Sic'em...Woof Woof Woof!!!

No big concerns for me here, except that it will be fascinating to see how our high powered offense operates against a good (not great) SEC defense. I expect that Matt's Machine will do well. We just have too many weapons right now. Efficient weapons in the hands of strong warriors, led by experienced, wise leaders, and given numerous opportunities, should be a devastating, lethal combination for SC.

I anticipate that the heavy media analysis, coverage and bruhaha will begin with the following week's game at ASU. By then USC will have obliterated OSU from the face of the gridiron map, and for a while at least, it will be us and USC.

Lou Holtz stated that SC's D could compete with the Dawgs...I wonder if he's still chirping that noise. I'm guessing he is.

I'm with DawgSpeare on this one except that I think the media will pick of course USC and Oklahoma. None of them believe like we do and that won't change till we beat Florida. Gotta remember just about everybody has picked them over us in the SEC.

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN
