Herbstreit's all right. I have a much greater respect for him after meeting him at a company function early this year (just two days after the LSU-OSU game). Without even being led (meaning I didn't ask him anything about Georgia), Herbstreit said that Georgia was his preseason number one, even that early, and that the end zone celebration was the mark of genius in Mark Richt and was his vote for play of the year, even though it wasn't an actual play.
Not only that, but he tried not to talk positively or negatively about Ohio State, even when prodded by southern folk. I think the reason he doesn't go whole hog on the SEC being the only conference is that he thinks that would also betray bias. He likes to give everyone a fair shake.
