Trinton is out for the year, officially. He will need a full knee reconstruction. Josh Davis will replace him.
I got on ESPN.com to check what happened with the men's basketball team today (I was in a business meeting and couldn't watch the game; heard they were in a dogfight) and saw the headline \"Georgia Loses Sturdivant to Knee Injury.\" I was just praying it wasn't for the year...when I saw that he was out for the season I had to close my eyes to keep from falling out of my chair. If Davis doesn't get better REALLY quickly, we're going to have a repeat of 2003, when David Greene got sacked some impossible number of times. Matthew Stafford is a lot of things, but he's not a guy who thrives in the scramble, and I'm not excited about him rushing his throws the way David Greene used to have to do.
Let's just hope Davis (or Harmon, or Vance, or whomever) gets enough experience throughout August and then against GSU and CMU (and SCarolina, and Alabama, and ASU) to protect against LSU. LSU sacked David Greene something like 10 times in teh two games we played against them in 2003, and I don't want that to happen again.
Can you tell I'm worried? I may have to change my pants soon. This is bad, folks. No way to sugar-coat it. It's just bad news.
