It's not a player's nickname but I think as a kid I remember the offense caled \"Tarkenton's Raiders.'
And am I dreaming or was Greg Blue called \"the Assasin\"?

I believe I've heard that about Blue. Could have been applied to Thomas Davis as well.

I do remember both \"Air Zeier\" and Greg \"The Assassin\" Blue. Good pulls! I never heard Thomas Davis called anything but \"TD.\" Of course Musa Smith was nicknamed \"Moose.\" And while it wasn't a nickname, Sean Jones got several comments about his good hands. Honestly, the dude was an interception/fumble recovery machine. I always referred to him as \"Johnny On-the-Spot.\" I'm honestly a little surprised that a sack engine like David Pollack never had a nickname. Maybe he didn't need one.

Any others you remember? Terry Hoage? Andy Johnson? Charlie Trippi? Big Bill Stanfill?
