Maybe I was too hard on some of your about your monitor. For that I apologize.

The site I referred you to has color bars to help adjust color and a gray scale to help adjust contrast and brightness. Just scroll down the page of that web site.

Since I design web sites and have all the latest graphics hardware I want to make sure the folks who are a little behind in technology can see the site well.

IE: colors are OK, Text is readable, etc. Just the basics.

I would like to a a survey about monitors. You can put X's by the answers in your reply

Which monitor do you have?
CRT
LCD

What is the resolution?
800 x600
1024 x 768
larger

Thanks,
Steve

OK, I guess 2 in the survey is enough. Not many folks around right now anyway.

The main stream monitor being sold right now is the 19\" LCD with 1024 x 768 resolution. They are very affordable and is the one you get with a new computer unless you upgrade.

The 22\"'s show up on sale at TigerDirect.com and even office supply chains at just over $220.00.

I use 22\". It has 1680 x 1050 screen size.

I am making Dawgs.com optimized for the 1024 size so it will all fit on the most commonly used screen size.

Thanks for the help and let me know if any of the changes over the next month cause any color or readability problems.

I personally have a 17\" with 1024 x 768. I think that's the most common high-middle end one being sold nowadays, at least on notebooks. At any rate, the site looks great so far. Looking forward to the sidebar headlines coming back, though...not to mention the countdown clock!

Steve, help.
On my mac laptop, everything's fine.
On my Gateway pc, the images are transposed on top of each other.
Sorry for being so computer illiterate.
