What a heart attack!

OK; After doing a little research, I think I answered my own question.

We are scheduled to play game #11 on Friday against the winner of the game Wed between Stanford and the thugs. It looks to me like this: if we win that game #11, we will automatically go into the championship bracket. If we lose game #11, we will play game #13, again against whoever had beaten us in game #11. Then, the winner of game #13 would advance to the championship bracket. I see; it's really pretty simple; just keep winning! B)

I will say that after the \"no home run\" call and then Bryce Massanari getting plunked to load the bases, my kids will go to school today knowing just a few more curse words. This is bad, since neither one is four yet. But I scored the game last night, so I have it forever. What a comeback!

The heartening thing about our wins so far, UGAChemDawg, is that we haven't had an explosion of runs yet. We all know that this Georgia team is capable of scoring in bundles, and but for an error-fueled ninth against Miami, we haven't had a big inning yet. To me, that says we're due. The nerves should be gone by now (we've gotten to 2-0 in the CWS for the first time EVER in this format), and the bats should come alive. Whoever gets us on Friday might miss the bus to run home crying.

Anyone else notice how Mike \"What is Britney Spears doing with her life?\" Patrick and Orel Hershiser were absolutely head-over-heels in love with Stanford the whole game, especially starter Jeff Inman? They couldn't stop saying great things about him, but barely knew Stephen Dodson's name. They spent more time on the girls that our Diamond Dawgs are romantically involved with than on the stats and play, and only cared about Gordon and Joshua because they were drafted in the first round. It's sickening the way HYPEspn picks a team to root for and then discounts the other team. Then again, that makes it all the sweeter when OUR team takes home the 'W'!

Let's rest up, Dawgs! Time to rev up for a rematch on Friday, but who will it be?

Yeah, goosedawg, personally, I think we got hosed on the call. They kept saying it was way foul, but they were showing it from an angle, not straight on. Glad it still worked out--hate that Mass didn't get the HR, but I'm sure he's happy with the end result of the game.
dapolla, these announcers for all the games have been so bad, I pretty much tune them out. After the first couple of CWS games, my son and I don't usually even turn the volume up.

Sadler, they've spent half of both the Miami and Stanford games talking about what ingredients their flavor of ice cream includes, half of it talking about Lauren Massanari and the other half talking about how great Jeff Inman is. If they focus on Mike Patrick's fat face ONE MORE TIME while Georgia is batting I'm going to puke.

I'm glad I haven't been listening to it then. It's much more enjoyable watching the games without hearing the announcer's inane drivel.

Well, looks like Stanford again Friday..
Sorry, Thug U--better luck next year!
