What a heart attack!

Man, was tonight's game a thriller! The Dawgs are in the driver's seat in this bracket, but I'm still not calling it for them yet. It's ours to lose at this point, but we're going to have to do better than the fall-behind-and-play-catch-up job we've done these first two games if we want to advance any further. We've shown that we have the heart and mental toughness to hang with anyone and finish the drill. Now it is time to start putting people away. Fields needs to work on his control over these next few days that we have off.

Stanford will make adjustments, and the Caines will not collapse again this tournament like they did in the ninth against us. If Miami is defeated again, it will be because they were outplayed in the fundamentals, and that's a scary thought.

We've given ourselves every advantage at this point, but we're still not out of the woods by any means.

What a game!!! Could that foul ball been any closer to a home run??? Josh definitely made it more interesting than I wanted. At least whichever team we play will have the mental disadvantage of knowing we have come back to beat them. The extra days off should help our pitchers for sure.
GO DAWGS!!!!

OMG! I didnt even get to watch the game on tv. i watched it on the live feed at ncaa.com and listened to georgiadogs.com but it was still intense. Once again...thats the downfall of being deployed. Lucky for me, I will be home in time for our next game. What a day..Last day of deployment and our boys went to the next game!!! GREAT DAY TO BE A BULLDOG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny thing is that im not even a big baseball fan. i played through highschool but hate watching it on tv. but listening to yall talk about it as gotten my hyped up about it. THANKS! It makes waiting for football easier:woohoo:

Goooooo Dawgs...Sic'em...Woof Woof Woof!!!

HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS??
CHOPPING DOWN THE CARDINAL TREE!!!
WOW! WHAT A GAME!!!

You're right ChemDawg, we gotta quit spotting the opposition an early lead but man, you gotta love those late inning rallies & the bullpen has been pitching lights out to give the O the opportunity to make the comeback magic happen. Nothing better for me than sitting in a sports bar in Woodbridge, NJ (just south of stinking Newark) & wearing my UGA visor & polo. I was barking like a madman when Fields shut the door with the double play in the 9th. The whole bar (full of Yankees & Mets fans) looked at me like I was a raving lunatic but hey, they don't know what bulldog pride is all about.

Anyways, I don't know how you saw it Sadler, but to me, that missed home run call clealy hit the yellow line above (but to the right) of the foul ball line painted on the right field wall but directly below the foul (I.E. fair) pole which means, if the ball would've been 2 inches higher, it doesn't hit the yellow line on the top of the wall, it hits squarely on the foul pole which makes it a HOME RUN (5-3 DAWGS). Did you see the replay where they showed the scuff mark on the line from where the ball hit?

Regardless, thanks to the super clutch 2-out base knock to drive in the tying & winning run by Matt \"Rice\" Cerione, the missed home run call was a moot point. Our dawgs got til' Friday to rest up & wait for the Miami vs. Stanford survivor. Let's get some good ol' fashion rest out there in the cornfields of Nebraska & prepare to take it on home with 3 more wins!

Man, these diamond dawgs are showing the heart & determination of a true champion!

LET THE \"DOWN BUT NEVER OUT\" BIG DAWGS EAT!!!

Terrific game, exciting, blood curdling chills! The heart palpatations reminded me somewhat of the feelings that I get when we play at the WLOCP. I feel like I live and die on nearly every play in the clash with the toothy lizzards (that's the gridiron clash to which I refer).

You have all made good points here about what needs to happen now to win this thing. How many more games have to be won? What is the remaining format for the CWS? :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
