Well, Trevor Holder came in to try and get his first career game and came within one out of doing so. He went 8 2/3 and was magnificent. A Gordon Beckham (!) error in the ninth led to two unearned Wolfpack runs, so the final box looks like this:

Great job, DiamondDawgs!!! One more for Omaha. I was watching on espn and I saw that crap with the cap inspection. Purely bush league desperation. Pace yourselves, wolfpack, you've got one more embarrassing defeat to cry about.

Sorry I wasn't reporting yesterday, Dawg lovers. I won't be reporting today, either, and unfortunately there IS a today, since our Diamond Dawgs dropped a 10-6 decision to NC State yesterday.

Heartening news: Georgia has NEVER lost an elimination game at Foley Field (we are 15-0 since the park was built in 1990).

Disheartening news: NC State has proven that they can beat us.

So go Dawgs! The game is on the ESPN family of networks today at 4:00 pm.
