Georgia Three Deep

wlayton, when you asked the question, I had to think about it. My first thought was T. Brown, however we all know that T. Brown could lift more than some linemen. And personally, when TB came back after the injury, I felt like he was even better than before getting hurt. Don't know if that makes any sense, just seems that he and KM had some \"stuff\" going on between them. Nothing bad, just hand me the pigskin and watch kind of thing. . . . CT will make some folks on the gridiron look absolutely silly at some point when he is playing. No fear in this young man. There is a lot of quality football played in this area, and he is definitely one of the \"quality UGA players\" that played in our area. Welcome aboard Carlton Thomas. Go Dawgs!

wlayton, this is another reason that I am so high on this young man. Meaning of course, SAT's, means so much.

Biography:
One of the state's most productive running backs as a junior, Thomas ran for 2,283 yards and 25 touchdowns. He edged out Chris Rainey for tops in Polk County; Thomas benches 315 pounds, squats 440 and has a 36-inch vertical jump.

Thomas reports a 3.4 core GPA and a 910 SAT.

Thomas: \"I have great vision and good speed. I can find the opening and can do whatever it takes. I try to capitalize on the defenses' mistakes.

\"I want to become a better blocker and am working on my pass protection. I'd also like to see the holes earlier.\"

Earlier in the conversation I had mentioned TBrown's strength, looking at the above numbers, you can see this young fellow is not to be taken lightly. CMR you and the staff really recognize talent. I just know that he is going to dazzle all of us his freshman year . . . . 2 kickoff returns for TD's. Punt returns, will have to see if he is the game. Go You Silver Britches!

Buc I like what I'm reading....although thought with a 3.4 GPA, his SAT would be higher. Evidently high enough, right!!!

Truthfully, I am glad that he does not have to go to a prep school and find his way in. Agree with you that core and sat's would suggest more. wlayton, this is what I really like . . .

\"I want to become a better blocker and am working on my pass protection. I'd also like to see the holes earlier.\"

Not coming in and looking to be \"all that\" . . . I am guessing that CMR and the staff see the same thing. Getting scary pal . . . so much talent . . . This is the kind of athlete that \"should\" wear the Red and Black.

You know CMR loved that statement about improving is pass blocking. He's huge on that....no pass blocking ='s no playing time at RB. Don't believe CMR would use him as a primary RB in pass protection though at his size....he'd be taken on some kinda BIG dudes in pass protection. Believe CMR will keep Southerland and KM etc in during most passing plays. He sounds extremely exciting and a great change of pace as well.....can't wait to see him.
