If you don't believe that money erodes the performance level of the supposed NFL \"elite,\" take a look at the 2007 performances of Julius Peppers (man it hurts me as a Panthers fan to mention him), Shaun Alexander, and others. Those two really stick out in my mind.
I ONLY watch the Panthers. Occasionally I watch the playoffs; I'm watching this year, but the last time I watched was when the Panthers were in it; I kept watching when the Steelers were making their unbelievable run.
