wlayton, Howard was a terror. Will miss him for sure. I am not sure who will be the starting DE's this season. I really, really hope that Cornelius Washington stays with his verbal and plays between the hedges. I further believe that he is going to be one of the best DE's in the country. A DE with 4.5 speed and the frame that he has, holy smokes . . . .
Velasco . . . what he meant to the Dawgs was enormous. I believe that he was what so many teams wish for. . . . a LEADER. He is definitely going to be a pro, lots of Sundays in this young mans life. I salute Velasco and what he did for the Red and Black. Hope that he makes millions. . . . . .
Jones . . . this guy is going to be a tremendous center. Read several articles about him and his abilities. Big frame, something like 6/2 and well over 300. What an animal this guy will be in short order, especially after working out in the UGA facilities. . . .facilities second to none.
Kicking always scares the pp out of me. The young fellow coming in has a tremendous leg, however, you are right, sometimes they are not through the uprights. Not often that way, sometimes. That is where the rubber meets the road. . . .once on campus, practicing under watchful eyes, with that tremendous leg, look out SEC. You can bet wlayton that MR was well aware of this scholarship offering, and I am glad that Blair Walsh accepted.
Remember this name, Carlton Thomas. For those that either saw or remember Buzzy Rosenberg at the University of Georgia, this young man is going to have folks out of their seats on kickoff returns. Remember this, I live in this area, this young man has very special talents. He will take more than one to the house.
You are so right that it is going to be \"extra\" tough to go undefeated, lots of folks looking for our scalp. Just take the attitude of the Patriots, (like them or not) one game at a time. Hoping that we get more feedback from the posters on this board, know that there are a lot of very knowledgable backers of the Red and Black.
Go Dawgs!
Interesting little tidbit . . . . MR, not sitting on his haunches.
