Final Standings

I hope dapolla is right and have read many articles that have hinted if LSU gets an ugly, last second win over OSU, UGA should have a claim to the AP championship. I doubt it will happen, but it's something to hope for. I will be pulling for LSU Monday, but if they lose, I won't be able to help feeling a little smug over the fact that the 3 teams that the BCS, in their infinite wisdom, moved ahead of us in the final poll will have lost.

Great, great point sadlerdawg, didn't think about that......hmmmm, now that you have mentioned that, maybe we should be pulling for OSU? Naaa, gotta pull for the SEC to drill them.

I'm afraid the USC impressive win and WVU impressive win over Choklahoma will propel them over UGA in the rankings. Somehow, someway we'll be punished for not playing anyone in our bowl game. The victory over Hawaii had to be a blowout like it was for us to have that outside shot at the AP, but naysayers will now turn from predicting a HI victory over UGA to the victory over HI not being impressive b/c they did not belong in the BCS.

I agree with DawgnLA. The Dawgs are going to get screwed because we had to play Hawaii. I figure they will rank us 4 at most or leave us at 5. I would be seriously surprised if they ranked us 2.
