Sorry, growing up in North Carolina, you have to pick sides early. Our loyalty runs so deep that my brother went to UNC but rooted for Duke his entire five years (including grad school) there. Plus he's married to an NC State alum. So he went to Chapel Hill, roots for Duke basketball and NC State football. Beautiful!
Then again, I got into Duke, but refused to go there (as did my brother). I visited the campus and the attitude there turned me off. However, if I set foot into the town of Chapel Hill my soul tries to escape my body for fear of being polluted beyond repair.
Anybody remember when Bill Dooley was coaching at UNC and they put us against UNC in a bowl game? Both of them said that was the worst game they were ever a part of and they refused to ever do it again. Vince hated beating Bill that badly.
