UGA Be Ready

wlayton, it would mean so much for our continued recruiting. I am thinking in terms of the next couple of recruiting classes. Two or three more solid recruiting years and UGA is going to be a tough one to beat for a long time to come. Really glad to see in-state talent staying home. A lot to be said for Coach Richt and the whole staff, apparently they are saying and doing the right things to impress these young fellows. Know that this is not a new or novel post, just wanting the best for UGA. Back to business . . . . defense get ready for the UH, they will come to play. Go Dawgs!

You are correct. Our D is going to face 4 WR's like they've never faced before from ONE team. It's going to look like a Chinese fire drill in our secondary and somebody's going to get open. Our front four had better play their best game of the year and they had better mix up coverages constantly. Their 4th receiver has more catches than our best receiver this year.

Ya'll are right. It all starts at the line of scrimmage. I think the players and coaches realize how important this game is. It's fashionable now for certain media to predict a Hawaii upset. If we show up and play our game, we win.

Just look at the second link in Buc's first post. The stats tell the story. OU beat Boise in every category, and lost.

My take is that we need to control the ball and keep it away from Brennan and his offense. This limits their possesions and keeps our defense rested. Which they will need to keep the rush and coverage going. Knowshon, et al, need to keep it going.

We need to wear their D down, and keep ours rested. If we can do that, than we will win this one.

Y'all have it right on this one. We better bring on our best game cause UH isn't going to be intimidated.

A good passing attack is college footballs great equilizer. If you don't have a lot of size on the line or speed in the backfield then put together a good scrabling QB and speedy WR combination. It'll make the big boys sweat if nothing else. BYU has done this for years, remember when they worked it to a national championship in the mid 80's?

Also, UH can score fast when they need to. We'll need 60 minutes of football. No resting on any lead of any kind.

Gone2theDawgs, noticed that you are a \"recent poster\" . . . . Welcome to the board, a lot of really \"knowledgeable\" folks, and for the most part, folks that really love UGA. Have fun, be sensible (sometimes) and take note of some of the \"Senior Dawgs\" that post here. I came on board and thought that I knew a lot about the Dawgs, have found out that there are \"many\" of those that not only know football, but respect UGA. Go Dawgs.
