My Humble Opinion

UGAChemDawg, I believe what oledawg may have been referring to by saying \"be careful what you wish for\" is everybody wants USC is the Rose Bowl and with our youth, we may not be ready for them THIS year, especially playing them in their \"backyard\".

I would love to see us play them as well (not at the option A expense of Tebow winning the H).

I'm glad that a Dawg fan said it first because I agree. A Rose Bowl invite to play USC just equals another loss for the Dawgs this season. Sorry, but I really don't see how the Dawgs can win that game. An orange bowl matchup with the ACC champ, however, is really in the Dawgs favor. End the year ranked No. 2 or 3! Not too shabby.

I just don't see the Rose as a win win for UGA. But that my opinion.

Playing in the Rose and 1) Winning or 2) Keeping it very close is a win-win for us

Playing and getting blown out only really hurts us as a program. That would be quite bad.

That's what worries some of us a little because this year, as good as we are, is the weakest we will be with this '07, '08, '09 core of players. Then over the next 2 years when we are unbelievably good, the media will look back to this year and say we are overrated, look what USC did to them in '07. THAT worries me about playing USC THIS year, let's play them in '08 and/or '09 for the NC when we will be juniors and seniors and will kick their trojan butts. THEN ....EVERYONE will know we are the BIG DAWGS!!

I am torn. Right now I think the Dawgs and the Trojans are playing better than anyone in the country.
