Scrooge opens the vault and gives raises to football assistant coaches

Lilly and Sherrer get bumps of 100k. Good move.

IMHO this was done by CMR and Prez Avoids doing the BB shuffle after

CMB departure. Fun starts Tuesday. Go Dawgs.

Good Morning yankeedawg1 . . . . :)

Maybe the departure of Bobo and Friend opened some eyes in Athens.

Don't know how all of these coaching changes will work out, but it was past time to try and get the right folks in the right slots.

In the article below, I pulled a paragraph from one of the Colorado players on practice tempo. Not to be ugly but almost to a man I have read when "all" of the offensive and defensive players were quick to learn that the "pace" in Athens was double time when the new coaches on defense arrived. One young player departed for Louisville because the tempo did not suit him. Bye Bye.

Also believe that Bobo picked up on a needed change in the way players needed to be trained. Getting Will Friend to leave with him insures that the "tempo" will pick up. Old dogs can and should learn new tricks.

I sincerely hope that we see something different from our new offensive coaches. Thomas Brown I have no doubt will work at a high tempo. Rob Sale comes from the same background as many on the defense came from, and for sure the same background as Will Friend. I continue to say and believe that Coach Will Friend is the one coach that truly changed things in Athens.

"Our practices are up-tempo, 100 percent. That will help us in the season a lot. He is preparing us for the fourth quarter when everybody is drained and both teams are tired. He wants a violent practice. He instilled a program in our head that violence is the key and being physical is the mentality.”

Coach Will Friend making his presence known in Colorado.

Edit . . . . My thoughts went to Mike Bobo, did not address the money "stuff". Might be that Pruitt had a hand in that also. Quiet he is not, whether player or . . . . maybe quiet with the press, that however I would phrase as being "WISE". :)

Buc you touched on a valid point... CJP was in the

Loop before any announcement was made....and as you said had speaks with the HC

Before any of it took place. In fact I think our HC uses CJP to bounce many things related to our program....good thing...every ship has a first officer that the Capt places a great amount of trust in

This maybe the best new trick our old HC has learned

Hope that this fits yd1.

Have mentioned more than once that I would really like to see Tre Nixon wear the Red and Black. Covering this young man with not only his speed, great hands, and bet this . . . . Jacob Eason will not throw the football over his head.

Feel he is going to sign on with either Duke or Penn State. Both good schools. Know that BMac really wants this young man.

Plays the high school game in my area. Have nothing but respect for Tre and his family.

Cannot be "covered deep".

Sometimes "old" statements have to find their way to the front. Buc spoke openly for AM. Buc also said that Ramik Wilson was better than good. Tre Nixon is outstanding.

Edit . . . . Pulled this from the "Sidebar".
