So, some things have happened that pretty much messed up my initial scinario. Some were things I never saw coming like Texas Tech over Oklahoma and Arizona over Oregon, and some were things I expected to happen that didn't. (OSU over Michigan, West Virginia over Cincinatti).
So, for us to go to that national championship game, some new things have to happen. These are listed in order of least probably (most likely to not happen) to most probable (most likely will happen)
1.) Tennessee must lose to Kentucky next weekend. The bottom line is that I do not think UGA can play for the national championship if the Dawgs do not make it to Atlanta. If it turns out that we win out and still don't go to the SEC championship game, I think the possibility that a team that did not win its own conference (or even its own division of its own conference) might have the opportunity to play for the national championship, will resonate with the voters in such a way that they will do something to prevent it. They'll leap a team over us on purpose for that very reason. To play for the national championship, we have to go to Atlanta and put LSU down ourselves. Period.
2.) Connecticut must beat West Virginia and win the Big East.
3.) Kansas must run the table in the regular season and beat Missouri.
4.) Oklahoma must beat Kansas in the Big 12 championship game.
5.) USC must beat Arizona State next weekend.
Basically, we should all be rooting against the following teams from here on out: Georgia Tech, Tennessee, LSU, Missouri, Kansas, West Virginia, Arizona State
Would love to see Ohio State get spanked by an SEC team in the national championship 2 years in a row.
