What is your game day ritual?

What is your game day ritual? was created by stevedawg
I have several rituals I go through on game day.

I always put on my Dawg sweat shirt. If it is too hot for it it is laid carefully across the back of the sofa with the front facing the Tv.

I do not talk much until the game is over. I study the game during the week but on game day it is show time. I know the team and the opponents well enough to know what needs doing. No talking about it, just doing it is all that is left.

During the game I keep pure Dawg thoughts and do not think anything about the opponent, good or bad.

There are other things I do according to who our opponents are.

Does anyone else want to share their rituals?

steve

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

This is an awesome topic as Im curious as well...

On game day..I wake up that morning, get ready and put on my game day shirt(sometimes its under a jersey)

Then take my 15+ yr old Ga Football shirt and put it on the top center of the couch w/ the logo facing the TV.(just like you...hahaha)

Then I have a small piece of the hedges that hangs above the entry way into my living room, so that everyone who comes in has to walk under the hedges!!

Great topic!!!

I wake up about 45 minutes before kickoff.
Pray to God to keep them safe.
I eat nothing.
I do not talk to anyone.. The Channel or radio station DOES NOT CHANGE for any reason.
I pretend the refs/players/coaches can hear me through the t.v. because I am yelling quite often.

If we win, I call my mother and then I consume large amounts of lager and celebrate like its Mardi Gras while feasting on a meal that tastes like victory.

If we lose, I take a few shots of liquor and eat the misery of defeat and the pain of waiting another year for another shot at that team or title, then do pretty much nothing the rest of the useless day.

If I go to the game, well, you all are just gonna have to find me to understand the craziness that endures. Erk would be proud, I'll leave it at that.

If it's a home game, I'm usually on the road heading toward Athens by at least 8:00 am. Yes even the late games. I'm settled in at our tailgate spot at Lumpkin and Hull by 10:00 and then it's time for a spicy Bloddy Mary. Or 2 of them. YUM. :P Eat some food. Chat with my my friends and enjoy several beverages of choice until it's time to walk to the stadium. And lets not forget about enjoying the scenery.

How depressing it is that Saturday mornings in Athens is over until next year.:(

I have no specific rituals, but if we lose, no one talks to me for a few hours. I can't stand to read about it in the Sunday papers either. I'm a sore loser.
