You know, I hate this, but reading that article reminded me of something. It says that Auburn brings a 7-3 record into Sanford Stadium, which brought to mind the fact that the underdog tends to win this game, as does the visiting team. Look at last year, when our unranked Dawgs beat the #5 Tigers, or when our favored Dawgs lost 30-31 to Auburn in '05. Granted the '04 Tigers were heavily favored, as were our '03 Dawgs. But in '02 Auburn was favored. In '96 our Dawgs had just lost to Kentucky and went into Auburn as underdogs. The \"Miracle on the Plains\" ensued. Or look at 1983, where a win over Auburn would have given our 8-0-1 Bulldogs a fourth straight SEC title. Instead, the lower-ranked 8-1 Tigers beat us at home and took the SEC; it was the ONLY TIME Bo Jackson beat us.
Oh well. Maybe we'll defy tradition this year. GO DAWGS!!!
