Willie and Mike

Before we get up in arms about allowing 34 points from a VERY GOOD Troy team, let's remember that we scored 44. Let's also remember that we rejoiced like we'd won the lottery after we allowed Florida to score 30 points, because we scored 42. So Willie can't do his job right? Mike is starting to be able to. If we can't solve our defensive woes this season, at least we've shown that we have the capability to outscore the opponent. That's important.

Oh, and (as this needs to be a postscript to EVERY post about the Dawgs from now on) Knowshon.

I like the wins but don't like HAVING to rely on OUTSCORING our opponents, because when you run up against a team with a GOOD defense, it's going to be hard to put up a bunch of points. UF and Troy have terrible defenses.

A win is a win though.

The thing is that the Defense has not been good, its nto goign to be good, lets not forget also that we have a very VERY young team, sop its just that some players are picking up things better than others, I dont blame everything on Willie, but I do think that when its needed the D will step up, they have played decent, not good, but decent and lets face it, they didnt allow 43 against Fla, so we still came out with the win! Hopefully, against a coming of age Auburn team we can get things done inbetween the hedges!!

I hope our offense rolls Saturday against Auburn. I don't want to get in a defensive match.

From what I saw Saturday, I really don't know what to think. There were D secondary guys just standing around letting Troy's offense run right past them. Willie has got to stop this Zone Defense that he seems to love so much.
