Well, Georgia fans, this could be good news, I guess. Lamarcus Coker, starting tail back for the Vols has been dismissed from the team due to failing a fourth drug test. As we know, there is still a race in the SEC east, mainly between us and the Vols (hoping for another loss on their part). Coker led the team in rushing yards, which possibly means more problems for the Tenn offense with him gone. It will be hard for their offense to go up against Vandy's defense, Kentucky's Defense, and Arkansas' Defense without a good run game. That's all I know for now. GO DAWGS!!!

This is a sad story. Coker has loads of talent, and can't lay off the pot. I empathize with the young man, but he has had four chances to get his act together and blown each one.

I love UGA and UGA football. And want us to win them all against the best talent our opponents can field.

I do try to remember that the players are young men growing up. Football and sports is a great way for them to mature. Unfortunately, some do not.

It should not have taken that long to kick off the team. I don't feel sorry for the guy either. It's not rocket science. My 2nd grader knows drugs are against the law. It's his fault and his fault alone. It's bad for the game ( IMO ) when a coach of a big school takes such little action against a player who is always doing wrong.

Have no fear, Phat Phil is here !! I am sure he will think of a way to get Coker back in the line up....just like he did the game before UT played us..... On another note, I don't think the UT defense can stand the 2 headed monster that Ark has in it's backfield. Their run defense isn't real good to say the least.

Thought I tend to have a more liberal, let them rehab stance towards drug abuse (not that Coker should be allowed to rehab ON THE TEAM) than flyindawg probably does, there's no such thing as \"can't lay off the pot.\" Pot is not addictive. Coker just didn't want to play as much as he wanted to smoke pot. Same goes for Ricky Williams. If it was coke, or heroin or speed or something I'd almost understand him not being able to stop. Pot is not addictive. I do not feel the least bit sorry for someone who'd rather be stoned than play.

And the sumbitch should have been off the team after his third strike, which was BEFORE the season started.
