I was right about (1) Caleb King keeping his redshirt on Saturday. It's
even more likely now that he will keep it on for the remainder of
this season. Obviously he was not needed with the show-stopping
(make that show-running) performance by (2) KnoMo. I believe that will
serve us well for the future.
It is likely that in the next game KnoMo will accumulate at or above
900 yds for the season. That will surpass Rodney Hampton for most
yds as a GA freshman and place him second on that list of distinction.
Only one other freshman in GA history accumulated more yardage than
Hampton, and you know, for the life of me I can't seem to remember
the guy's name. Oh well, he was probably just a one-season sensation.
Whoever he was, I do remember that he gained over 1600 yds that
year, so it is not fathomable that KnoMo will approach that.
One thing that I do think is likely though. If KnoShon continues to
perform at this level, I would strongly suspect that he would leave
DawgVille for the NFL after his Junior year. That would be all the
more reason to be happy in the fact that CK is keeping his redshirt
on this year.
ALSO, I got a call this evening from (3) Dontavius Jackson, four star
RB out of Carter, GA. For weeks he has been narrowing his suitor
schools down to the final 3. They were Clemson, GA and LSU. He is
scheduled to make his announcement of which school he will choose
tomorrow morning (Halloween). He told me tonight on the phone that he is choosing BullDawg Nation! That's right folks! You heard it
right here on the board tonight! But do not tell anyone outside
this forum. Why? If Coach Richt got the word, he could get into
trouble for recruiting, communication violations. OK? Just keep
this between us on the board!
